School
Business Partners
Here
is our list of school business partners. This is a wonderful program
that applies our community's expertise in business and industry and
makes it relevant to students. Careers start here in what best can be
described as a "super mentoring" opportunity for our business
partners and students alike.

St.
Luke's United Methodist Church
St.
Luke's Church has informally supported the staff and families of
Prescott for the past few years and officially became a buisness
partner on December 3, 2004. As the members of St. Luke's have
increased their efforts to support our school, we now welcome them into
official partnership.
St. Luke's United Methodist Church was the first church in Iowa.
They continue the tradition of being a "first church"
by their willingness to partner with Prescott. St. Luke's Church
is the first church to become a community partner with a Dubuque
Community School. We are so excited about this opportunity.
The goal of the partnership between St. Luke's Church and Prescott
School is not to promote a specific religion or church, but rather
to provide the an avenue for the members of St. Luke's Church
and the staff of Prescott School to collaborate and combine resources
to enhance the education of the children of Prescott School. St.
Luke members volunteer in our classrooms, mentor, help with health
screenings and special events, and provide resources to classrooms.
St. Luke's Church has also generously allowed us to utilize the
church building for parent meetings, staff meetings and concerts.
Our partnership opens the door to many new possiblities!
